Meet Kimberley
My Mom gave me my first cookbook when I was six years old. I have been baking and cooking ever since.
Now a mother of two children, I launched my food business, specializing in artisan marshmallows and confections. I am passionate about quality food and the environment. I want to sell a product that I would feed my children. The ingredients are simple, often local, organic and fair trade as well.
I have over 15 years of experience in the food and hospitality industry. I also worked as a professional actor and as an HR executive until I started working at Kimberley's Kitchen full time. I am happiest in the kitchen.
I live with my husband and two daughters in Telkwa, BC- a village outside of the small town of Smithers in Northern BC, Canada. I grew up in the middle of Vancouver and learned to love food as I spent most of my time at Granville Island Market or eating out with friends. We moved to the beautiful Bulkley Valley to enjoy life, local food, and live our dream.
I love making marshmallows. Every single one. It brings me so much joy to create something unique, tasty, and delightful.
I am committed to sourcing sustainable ingredients and local whenever possible. I do not use artificial or synthetic colors or flavors. My whole wheat flour comes from a local farm that stone mills it- please visit WoodGrain Mill to learn more about this amazing farm. The coffee in my popular Espresso Crunch marshmallows is locally roasted by Chicken Creek Coffee and is organic and Fair Trade. I also purchase organic, Fair Trade vanilla beans, chocolate, and cocoa from a small Canadian importer and use local fruit and other ingredients sourced in BC. I use sustainable packaging including compostable and recyclable bags and boxes.
I hope that you enjoy your treats from my kitchen and please send feedback to info at kimberleyskitchen.com. I would love to hear from you.
Cheers,
Kimberley
